A blog is like an on-line journal created by an individual where they can post comments about their thoughts, ideas, interests, or whatever they may want to write about. Other people can then find these blogs and add comments to them, sort of creating a discussion about that original post. A great way to link people with similar ideas. As I mentioned in my previous post, I have only posted once before in a blog. But I have found a couple of blogs interesting and useful. One blog in particular I found that is of interest to me is:
http://linuxhelp.blogspot.com/ The posts here are about a work related topic that I interact with everyday.
A wiki is a website where one can find information about almost any topic. Unlike a blog, each subject may have multiple inputs from various people and not just one individual. In most wiki's the information submitted will need to be verified before allowing it to published on the site. One of the most popular wiki sites is Wikipedia. This is a site that I have used very often to find information on things for my classes, for work, or to find information on that hard to answer Jeopardy question.

Blogs and Wikis
Let's start with blogs.... This is actually my second blog ever. And although I myself do not blog,
as you may see from my first blog: cs110-blog (from my computer class)
I have recently found a few blogs that sparked my interest. Either because they are about music, which I love, or a subject that is linked to the work I do.
Now wikis in the other hand, I use almost every other day. Mostly, if not always, Wikipedia. To me it is definitely one of the most convenient places for knowledge.
I was never the type to keep a journal about my thoughts or life, but who knows. Maybe this could be the beginning to something new. But I will warn you, I do tend to procrastinate!
